About Us - Western Australian Plant Wholesaler

Mission:
To grow a comprehensive range of high quality plants within the categories of natives, exotics, trees, shrubs, perennials, grasses, conifers, climbers and ground covers for supply to the Perth and Western Australian market.

Location:
Situated in Hacketts Gully, 7km from Kalamunda, 35km from the centre of Perth, off Mundaring Weir Rd.

History:
Started in a small way in 1973 by Brian Groom, it has grown significantly over the years.  Brian, wife Robin, and son Colin along with a great team of staff members have grown the business to fill the property and employ over 20 staff.

Size:
The nursery occupies about 4.5ha.

Plant Range:
Trees, shrubs, grasses and ground covers with an emphasis on natives in pot sizes from 130mm-430mm across 800 varieites.  View a full list of plants grown here, or a list of plants currently available here.  Within our range are a large number of new PBR cultivars, which we grow under licence, we are members of the following grower groups.

Our staff numbers range from 20 to 25 depending on the time of the year.  Our key staff are:

Market:
We supply Perth Metropolitan and WA regional garden centres, landscapers and government bodies.  Many of our garden centre customers within Perth order via our Display Truck.  Our plants are also sold through the Plant Supply Company to regional customers, and through the Hort Marketing trade mart in the northern suburbs.  See our Where to Buy page for more information.

Water:
Our sources include bores, a dam, a natural creek and recycled water.  The quality is good and all surface water is filtered and chlorinated to minimise the risk of pathogen infection.

Domus Nursery is a grower of a large range of Native and Exotic Trees, Shrubs, Climbers, Conifers, Perennials and Ground Covers. We supply to quality Garden Centres and Landscapers all over WA. Our Wholesale Production Plant Nursery is based in Hacketts Gully, 8 minutes from Kalamunda and 45 minutes from the Perth CBD in Western Australia.
